We create a future where technology is no longer a barrier for immigrant adult and youth.
At CARE-Well Canada, we are a dedicated community organization committed to empowering newcomers—especially women and youth—to build successful lives in Canada. Our team of educators, mentors, and community advocates works to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.
Through accessible education, digital literacy, employment support, and integration programs, we help immigrants and refugees gain the skills, confidence, and connections they need to thrive. Guided by compassion and inclusion, CARE-Well is creating pathways for newcomers to learn, work, and belong in their new communities.
To empower newcomers and underprivileged communities in Canada by providing access to quality skills development training and essential support services, fostering resilience, dignity, and long-term well-being.
CARE-Well delivers meaningful impact in the lives of newcomers and underprivileged communities through:
1. Community-Based Education Programs
From literacy and skills development in adult education and vocational training to digital literacy, we provide inclusive learning opportunities that equip participants with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to navigate Canada’s evolving AI-driven job market.
2. Canadian Integration Workplace Experience (CIWE)
The CIWE program recognizes that immigrant unemployment is not due to a lack of skills but a lack of local experience. We support internationally trained professionals by providing the only program in Ottawa/Gatineau where participants can work on-site, gain Canadian workplace experience, and learn industry standards. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and workplace exposure, participants develop practical skills, confidence, and connections to successfully integrate into the Canadian workforce.
3. Immigrant Support Services
We are not immigration lawyers. We provide free guidance on employment support, mentorship, immigration information, and assistance with family reunification, work permits, and workplace integration—helping newcomers navigate life and work in Canada with confidence
4. Training & Capacity Building
We empower volunteers, mentors, and community leaders with skills, knowledge, and resources to drive lasting change and strengthen community networks from within.

Over the years, CARE-Well has empowered hundreds of newcomers in the Ottawa-Gatineau region by providing education, mentorship, employment guidance, and support in navigating Canadian workplaces and systems. By addressing gaps in local services, our dedicated network of volunteers, donors, and partners helps participants build the skills, confidence, and connections they need to thrive.
CARE-Well helps newcomers in Ottawa-Gatineau gain skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Through visits to institutions like Canada’s federal parliament, participants see firsthand how Canadian democracy works and discover their place within it—empowering them to engage, lead, and contribute to their communities. At CARE-Well, we don’t just help people adapt; we help them find their voice and make a lasting impact in society.

Access to digital skills is key to reducing unemployment among newcomers in Canada. Many face barriers to entering the Canadian workforce due to limited digital literacy and disrupted education caused by poverty, conflict, or displacement.
At CARE-Well, our free Digital Literacy classes break down these barriers through a supportive, inclusive learning environment that meets learners where they are—empowering them with the skills and confidence to thrive in today’s digital world
